Wardlaw sounds like a Neale replacement in a round about way. Contested work and exiting from stoppages. Tough as old boots.

Review Round 6, 2026 - Melbourne vs. Brisbane Lions

Melbourne pushed the whole game. Well done to them. We have a few injuries to work through. Guess we will see how good our depth really is.

Game Day Round 6, 2026 - Melbourne vs. Brisbane Lions

We should win this quite comfortably. Melbourne have their strengths but overall we are a better team

You want to try and keep your good players, so hope Bailey stays, especially if Neale leaves. Whilst we have some talent coming through everybody looks better in a good team. Good fortunes can change all too quickly. However paying a couple of players over the nominal pay range can create more...

Thought the performance for this time of the was really good. Draper and OA showing they will workout better than ok. They just need to now show it week in week out. Thought Gallop down back played well considering his total lack of experience. Could be our KP swingman going forward.

What a year for finalists increasing from 8 to 10 - could be handy lol. We know our system works so it really is between the ears.

Better off having a realisation at the start of the year than the end. Doggies played their best footy but we can improve. Though with our KPD’s sitting on the sideline our improvement may not happen straight away.

OK with three. Gives Hugh and Dunks credit where it's due, particularly Dunks whilst keeping Harris. Either 1 or 3 in my eyes. Probably the choice that causes the least disgruntlement. Which is required going for a three peat.

If all the lads honourably donate sperm, are we entitled to father sons/daughters? Just a thought 😁

Each year at the start our opinion of best 23 is a reflection from last year, and rightly so from a certain angle, but there is always a surprise or two. Who will be the surprise this year. Or is this the year whereby there too many good players that are back from injury dictating no rookies.

Not every club have two rucks that are AFL level. I think those clubs will need to get creative.

We can run two rucks due to having a superior midfield than most clubs. Some clubs will roll the dice to give more legs to their midfield so they won't go with two rucks. If they have a suspect (might be carrying an injury) key position player/s they might run with a kp foward/bac that can swing...

Perhaps TomD has only just come to that conclusion. Does happen with players from time to time. Start of the preseason they think they will make it through but just don't.

It's not unusual for somebody to bury themselves in their work when there is trouble on the home front. More how missing his kids affects him. A lot of flights to and from Perth could be draining. Good thing is Fagan is a great person manager.
