I wouldn't be too concerned about the slow start (this time). Away game off a 5 1/2 day break was always going be tough. We've got another 6 day break now, but being at home should help a little. Also, we were missing a lot of our preferred defence and the defence was under the pump early.

Throwing a 17 or 18 year old into the fire first up is a tough gig - would prefer he eased into playing against men a bit myself. AFL players can really hurt young guys.
