Maybe right, but if the academy is worth having, why is it taking these kids 12 months to be ready. 12 games maybe to adjust to the speed of the game but the academy should be preparing these kids to be ready to roll day 1. If not the academy needs to amend whatbits doing. -

Anybody worried about what we gave up in draft capital just needs to take a breath. Look at Carlton in Rd 23, had zero picks in the first round this year. Fast forward 6 weeks and they Walked away with pick 9, 11 and future firsts. Yes they lost key parts but who know what happens to us in... -

This is 100% on the money, add mitch lewis as an option as well, a Walter or Lewie addition will will be signifincatly cheaper than what Curnow will cost and I am more confident we get a better return on investment then what Curnow will offer. -

I dont think having Mclean on the list is an issue, the issue is he appears to be a walk up start each week, he is a player who should feel his spot is under pressure and performing is the only way to avoid being dropped. Sadly that isn't the case with our list atm, his development has stalled... -

I dont feel people dislike the Academy and FS, rather they dislike teams not paying fair market value. If the AFL just made a simple rule change to say, you must have a current pick in the round your Academy or F/S falls, if not you are not able to draft them. Example - if Swans had 3 first... -
