Georgiades deserves the spot over Marshall. He kicks more goals and offers no less from a forward movement perspective. Also holds far more marks or at least creates a contest which can be crumbed.
Very simple- Georgiades for Marshall. Marshall had a decent game against Geelong but Mitch has had the better form over the season. In terms of the Bulldogs and Brisbane, from what I saw on the weekend we have no reason to be scared of either of these teams. Brisbane lacked discipline...
Completely disagree. To use another sport as an example, Manchester United under SAF regularly won games in the last ten minutes. Furthermore, I watched so many games during that era in which United played average football but found a way to win. In the AFL, people see percentage as a strong...
Realism is subjective but let’s not get into metaphysics. We’ve won six on the trot, shown great determination and composure to come out victorious in every close finish this season and possess the deepest 22 of all the teams remaining.
On the Geelong forum they are rationalising their sad capitulation by assuring themselves that the situation hasn’t changed for them. They seem to think facing us at home with 30k Port supporters will be no more difficult than the neutral final they would have played against Brisbane at Adelaide...
Loved the aforementioned trio's games tonight but a shoutout to Aliir as well. He was bloody unbelievable. Stemmed the tide and kept us in the game when the Bulldogs tried three times to break it open. Took important marks, halved contests and played like a guy 20cm smaller as he generated...
Narkle creates things of his own accord. He’s always creating space for himself and rarely wastes the ball. I think if he were at the Gold Coast he would regularly be in their top 5-6 players.
I don’t think their skill sets are particularly similar. SPP is a defensive beast with good goal sense. Narkle is a smooth outside midfielder with great clearance ability.
What did Rockliff give us for 600k? 5km max speed and 40 hack kicks a game. Narkle is a quality player who isn’t being rewarded for the level of his performances.
I'd be going hard at Narkle. He's not a star but he is a very sharp clearance player which is something we lack in big games. Also fits the current Port mould of being a versatile player who can pinch hit forward if need be. Give him the money we will get back into salary cap from Rocky's...
That’s where I think we are better than 2014. No Andrew Moore’s, O Shea, Pittard, Neade, Mitchell, Hombsch, Lobbe, Trengove. Our last 8-10 are of a far higher standard than that group.
Gritty win in a classic showdown. Struggled in the first half but we flipped the script and Ken got the forwards to lead at the ball carrier in the second half and encouraged the lads to take more risks in transition. We are sitting equal second, won four games in a row including three away from...
