Rumour GFC 2025 Player Trading, Drafting FA, Rumours and Wish lists Pt 2

There's a long way to go before we land Butters. The thing with Worpel is that his strengths are pressure and clearance, which I would say DOES suit us. It complements our current strengths through the middle of the ground, which are our run and ball movement. As someone pointed out earlier in...

Not necessarily. It could easily be an ambit claim that they'll happily move from.

    Purely insurance.

Preview AFL GF 2025: Geelong V Brisbane Sat 27th Sept MCG 320 pm

You can never underestimate Brisbane. They have a stacked side, they've been here before and they know how to win it. There is no room for error - if we're off by even a couple of percent they'll make us pay. But I'm feeling good about this one. We just look like we have a level that is hard...

It’s pure jealousy. They simply can’t get their tiny brains around the fact that our club is better run than their rabble. The fact that we wouldn’t pay TDK $1.8m per year or give Oliver an 8 year contract or whatever it was is what sets us apart from the many incompetents in this industry.

I was saying Stanley for Stewart last night too. But after sleeping on it, it occurs to me that both the Lions and the Pies play pretty short forward lines. Hipwood out for the Lions means they have Morris and Gallup as tall forwards, while McStay being left out for the Pies leaves Mihocek and...

How many high free kicks did Moore get last night? I'm not saying they weren't there, but I am saying he dropped his knees every time a Cat came near him. If you're going to play like that then I think the umpires should be well within their rights to stop rewarding it.

Fully agree. You can build strength and endurance through training, and with each preseason he'll build more of both. What is a lot harder to build is the courage, tenacity and footy IQ that we both agree Clark has more than most. Don't forget the kid's only just turned 21yo. Long way to go.

You could've said that 3 years ago when we won in 2022. Selwood, Hawkins, Tuohy, Smith (Isaac), Duncan (won't play again), Cuthrie (very likely won't play again)...

Yeah, lets not take that analogy too far... Maybe Man U 1992-2013 resembles Geelong 2004-2058... ;)

Yep, after living through being so shit in the mid '80s and then the heartbreak of the '90s, and not seeing a single flag in my lifetime to that point, it was hard to imagine even just winning one. We are very privileged to have seen this club do what it has done. And hopefully its not over yet!

If it came from a player, fine. But from a coach? No. They need to be better than that. And I say that acknowledging that he wasn't talking directly about Stewart, he was talking about the bye.

I AM a lawyer (or at least I used to be). There is simply no way the club would or should challenge it and put themselves in that position. Drop it Geelong_Sicko.

One of the many reasons why I hate that club. Classless, sniping assholes is the best description I can come up with.

Just, no. The protocols are there for a reason. It's terrible luck for Stewy, but there is no way he should play next week and there is no way he or the club should do anything other than accept that and get on with planning to play with the players we do have available.
