From my kind of involvement with this training is instead of calling it "sprint" training it gets referred to as "push" training- almost impossible to go at 90%+ for 100 repeated sprints, but people are expected to remain above a 7 RPE for as long as possible.
Really interested in how that first group goes especially.
It sounds like right now we're not set with a "default" look which is a massive break to the mold from the last three years.
Was there much of Long in there?
I'd say we've made massive progress if they're out a regular position by the end of the season.
With Shiels likely retiring and Howe and Morrison well and truly playing for their next contract, I'd say we'll see the best out of them, and hopefully our young bloods show enough signs to move them...
Seems v weird to try and draw comparisons imo.
All of our new boys play distinctly modern football, and play their own brand.
If anything as we move into this new era I'm incredibly excited for the differences between our new crop and our old!
