Welcome to the Adelaide Crows, Cathal McShane (narrator: he didn't come)

Fishing? Your recruiters approached him, and he admits he was tempted. Just thought some might be curious to hear is reasoning.

"But I don't...

Welcome to the Adelaide Crows, Cathal McShane (narrator: he didn't come)

He's a huuuuuge loss for Tyrone, he's one of the best players in the game and an absolutely crucial one for them.

Nope, 100% Irish as from any other part of the country.

Nope other way around, Cathal sounds more like Ca-hal.

    Welcome Another Irishman: Stefan Okunbor

Oh yeah, fair enough, compared to O'Connor he's not nearly as highly rated (and he came off the bench at minor level), but since being moved to full back at U20 last year he started to come into his own a lot and by all accounts was a cert to make it into the senior side this year.

    Welcome Another Irishman: Stefan Okunbor

Yeah, I always knew that. But I never realised that the points where from "behind" type posts at that time! That photo puts International Rules in a new light lol

    Welcome Another Irishman: Stefan Okunbor

That's interesting, I had never realised that the rules at one stage had point posts: You would have to conclude that that at the very least is an influence from Aussie rules. There was also a very strong influence from rugby and soccer of course. I think in it's codification, gaelic took from...

    Welcome Another Irishman: Stefan Okunbor

I am afraid I can't add much other than what's already been said, he has only played Minor (U18) and U20 at this stage of his inter-county career (and I am not a Kerry man), so have only saw him in a couple of games. This year is when he would have broken through to senior level (and I would...

    Welcome Another Irishman: Stefan Okunbor

Yeah its way too expensive to attract new fans imo. And no, not paid as professionals, though of course they are basically "professional" in terms of fitness levels etc.

    Welcome Another Irishman: Stefan Okunbor

Not sure the reason, but some are bigger than others. And yeah runs through our summer. And yep, ignoring the league for a second (which has different divisions) then aye each province has their champion (Munster, Connacht Leinster and Ulster), then the results of the provincials influence the...

    Welcome Another Irishman: Stefan Okunbor

Pitches for gaelic football are 130m to 145m length, and 80m to 90m width. So bigger than a soccer or rugby (or AFLX) ground. Season has started now and is in week 3 (the National Football League runs February to April), it's still taken seriously and isn't quite a pre-season event (it's the...

    Training 2019 Giants Preseason

Understandable, do they upload NEAFL games/highlights to YouTube or anything? I'm really interested to see how he develops. I assume it starts same time as AFL season?
