An alternative view is that clubs can back-end contracts and then claim a concussion related retirement in the final year/years and get the backend component paid outside the cap - there's a can of worms with this one and I don't see it as straight forward in any sense.

Maynard to play on Cadman, and to possibly swing to Green when Riccardi takes a run in the ruck, Frampton on Riccardi/Cadman, Moore on Hogan - this assumes that Keefe doesn't play.

Don't see any reason to add Frampton to the ruck mix - if we've got Johnson in the side then I'd prefer to ruck either Cameron or Cox for 100% of the game - they're both a better ruck option than Frampton.

I wouldn't if they don't play a 2nd ruckman, that is, if they pinch hit with someone like Riccardi as their 2nd ruck then I wouldn't play 3 tall backs. Prefer some additional run, e.g., Macrae.

Looks like GWS are expected to play Cadman instead of Keefe - that would mean that someone like Riccardi is going to play ruck for a % of the game. It's going to be pretty warm on Saturday, so I'm not expecting Briggs to play much more than 70% game time. Assuming that GWS goes with running...

Don't ignore the role of our ruckmen too. They're a very important part of the scenarios that we execute late in games.

I wonder of he's already let the club know that he's done and the club have offered him the opportunity to continue training as a way of helping him ease into the reality of his decision (and still having an opportunity to change his mind).
