Welcome Welcome to Hawthorn: Aidan Schubert

I just like that he consistently finds the ball on the lead whether deep or up the ground. It’s what sets genuine class forwards apart from the rest. I haven’t seen him crash a pack yet - does he have this in him? Kicking needs lots of work but his field kicking on the weekend was ok.

2026 Trade/Free agent targets for HFC

Wow that’s a surprise agree he’s been better than Cripps. Must be a one way runner so making an example of out him which is a laugh.

Ah yes he got it a heap. Works his backside off. He’s behind quite a few now in the pecking order.

Player Watch Welcome to Hawthorn: Mitchell Lewis. Extended to 2026!

If Gunners doesn’t play and you want to keep the same structure with Lewis higher up the ground Schubert is the next in line on form. But they may elect for Calsher as less of a risk against a strong opponent. Other than his last quarter I thought Calsher struggled at Box Hill. McCabe was...

Welcome Welcome to Hawthorn : Jack Ginnivan!

He’s the new Gunners being thrown behind the ball by Clarko to steady the ship. Thought he changed the game against the Swans a few weeks ago in the same manner. He looks like a proper ball of muscle now and is so nifty with his footwork and skill execution. It’s so great seeing our side...

Autopsy Round 4, Easter Monday, 2026: Hawks make a great point!

I can’t see shit from that.

Autopsy Round 4, Easter Monday, 2026: Hawks make a great point!

It was def a free. See I reckon the Cameron arm chop on Battle in the last was barely there. And I saw Mitch Lewis arm getting held multiple times and Jack Martin pulled Sics arm when Neale marked. So many poor non calls all game. You look at the lopsided free tally but I reckon there were...

Player Watch Welcome to Hawthorn, Ned Reeves. Extends to 2026 and then again to 2029!

Something underrated is Reeves handballing. Hes really effective with the quick give and get. He’s improved with the ground ball to picking it up and dishing it out. Our midfield looks so much better quality with him in the side. And on the flip side Box Hill are struggling without him. I...

Welcome Welcome to Hawthorn - Mabior Chol

He’s a genuine key forward with class. Hes a star in my books. Couple of his fields kicks yesterday were absolutely brilliant. It’s a shame he didn’t finish his work and take the glory as he has worked his way into being good enough to be the centrepiece in big moments. It’s a great lesson...

Welcome Welcome to Hawthorn: Jack Dalton

looked very capable at the level and the possession count is fine given he was playing a role he’s hardly ever played. Had a bounce twice down the AFL members wing which shows he knows how to work hard into space to win the footy. Pretty impressive debut for mine.

    Review Round 3, 2026: Casey Demons v Box Hill Hawks, 5 April 2026, 11.05am @ Casey Fields

Bodie Ryan continues to defend territory really well and love his tenacity at the contest. He’s still loose at times with disposal. BMac was solid - need him to get the ball another 8-10 times per game. Hes a bit stuck in between at the moment needs another string to his bow. Hill will get...

    Review Round 3, 2026: Casey Demons v Box Hill Hawks, 5 April 2026, 11.05am @ Casey Fields

Really impressed with Nairn. Can tell straight away he’s got it. Did slip over a number of times and a couple of ball handling errors but moves really well and easily at the level. McLaughlin nice player I suspect we mid season rookie him. Very vocal and gets regular shots at goal. Constant...

    Game Day Round 4, 2026: Hawthorn v Geelong, 3.15pm @ MCG

Worried about the 18 day break. Might have us cooked before the ball is bounced. Hoping the opposite we are fresh and hit the ground running.

Welcome Welcome to Hawthorn: Jack Dalton

I would love us to be in control of the game and be able to give Dalts some time in the middle. I suspect this may not be the case and his time will be at HF which may be tough.
