Traded Ben Long - Traded to Gold Coast with future 4th for 32

Ben Long’s best is very good. Problem is you only see it a couple of times year. His worst is deplorable. Can be a liability with ill-discipline and poor decision making. He is a real hard nut though and Clarko may be able to bridge the gap between his best and his worst but not sure North...

    Preview Round 21, 2022: Geelong v St.Kilda - GMHBA Stadium, Saturday 6th August, 7:25PM AEST

The discussion around 8th place is focussed on the Bulldogs Saints and Richmond. However Carlton now looking vulnerable and I’m surprised they are not really being talked about as missing finals. One game and a decent % ahead of us but have 3 very tough games to come. Their recent form is worse...

Prediction Who will be next to debut for the Saints

Aside from the fab 3, the rest are miles off it. Peris and Heath perhaps mid/late 2023 If they develop. Allison will be playing local football next year. Only a very small sample size for Adams so a bit early to call.

    Preview Round 18, 2022: Western Bulldogs v St.Kilda - Marvel Stadium, Friday 15th July, 7:50PM AEST

Yep Dunstan going the same way as Mav Weller and Hugh Goddard. They absolutely killed it at their new clubs ! Newness was a bruise free battler at St.Kilda and is no better at Carlton. Notwithstanding there were other issues at play, Jack Steven completely tanked at Geelong. Obviously the...

Autopsy AFL 2022 Round 16 - Bombers v Swans Sat July 2nd 1:45pm EST (MCG)

No question he played well. He usually does. But he gave the opposition extra motivation and it came back and bit him on the ar$@.

    Preview Round 15, 2022: Sydney v St.Kilda - SCG, Saturday 25th June, 7:25PM AEST

Don’t need to. I’m a fan of Sharman but reckon the so called “job” he did on Stewart is overstated. To be clear I’m glad to see him back but his 3 games so far have been underwhelming. Just want to see a bit more as I reckon he is capable of much better.

    Preview Round 15, 2022: Sydney v St.Kilda - SCG, Saturday 25th June, 7:25PM AEST

Spot on. Somehow this mythical stopping job he did on Stewart was invented but in reality he had no impact in that game or the others he played. No issue with his selection but he really needs more output than what he has shown so far. More concerned about the immediate return of young...

    Preview Round 15, 2022: Sydney v St.Kilda - SCG, Saturday 25th June, 7:25PM AEST

Replacing players with underperformers won’t fix a thing. Windy was dropped because he was out of form and had barely touched the footy since the Geelong game. Good to see he got a bit of it yesterday in the VFL but please don’t rush him back. He is a kid and needs some time to develop. Sharman...

    Preview Round 14, 2022: St.Kilda v Essendon - Marvel Stadium, Friday 17th June, 7:50PM AEST *SPUD'S GAME*

Windy had 6 disposals on the weekend and 1 tackle. Just a kid but we are carrying him at the moment and he needs a spell in the VFL to find the footy again. NWM or even an underdone Clark would give us more. Billings easily the best in the VFL and has to come in.

Autopsy AFL 2022 Round 13 - Lions v Saints Sat June 11th 7:25pm EST (Gabba)

When it was 22 v 22 St. Kilda were 2 goals up. You can cover being 1 rotation down. Maybe even 2 but not 3. Might not have won but any chance we had was gone by early in the 3rd quarter. It's emerging that Hill was crook. On that effort clearly he should not have played and no doubt he had an...

    Autopsy Round 13, 2022: Brisbane v St.Kilda

Not a whole lot you can take away from this game as the disparity in player availability clearly impacted the result. Decent effort to stay with them for as long as we did. Just a reminder that when it was 22 v 22 we were 2 goals up. As many as 5 changes for next week. He’s just a kid a but...

    VFL 2022 Sandringham Zebras

Only caught the 2nd Q. Billings was dominant and easily Zeb’s best player. Clarke pretty good and after a slow start is working his way into it. Byrnes ok but not have much impact. Sharman 2 goals that Q from minimal opportunities. Connelly pretty good but forget the rest.

    Preview Round 13, 2022: Brisbane v St.Kilda - Gabba, Saturday 11th June, 7:25PM AEST

To be honest I was a bit underwhelmed by the North game and reckon we can do much better. Some exceptional individual performances but still a few players who are just going. Sharman was quiet again against mediocre opposition. Of the kids, Owens and NWM did more than enough to keep their spot...

    Preview Round 11, 2022: St.Kilda v North Melbourne - Marvel Stadium, Sunday 29th May, 1:10PM AEST

Depends if we have better options. Of those you mention I reckon Sharman might be in strife. Two games and very little impact. If available Butler and/or Higgins are better options as small forwards then Long. He probably has enough credits this year to deserve another chance so maybe put him in...

    Preview Round 11, 2022: St.Kilda v North Melbourne - Marvel Stadium, Sunday 29th May, 1:10PM AEST

Current form? 4 disposals against the Crows and gave away more frees then he had touches, including a couple of ridiculous attempts to mark. Was average against the Cats as well. Probably has some credits from the earlier rounds but current form is average.
