    Interesting that Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves wasn’t picked at all after most had him bordering on a first round pick. For me his lack of consistency raises questions about his care factor.

    Congrats on picking up Murray guys. I really wanted him at the pies in the mid season last year. Dynamic player. He’s been an education support worker at my son’s school whilst playing VFL and I know all the kids will miss him. He’s a ripping young fella.

    Thanks mate. I’ve been struggling to find a player comparison myself for Swadles. Pendles or Dal Santo was probably the closest I could think of, but you are right, Black stylistically is probably better. Similarly a Western Australian drafted with a pick in the 30’s.

    Sentimentally I’d love for us to pick Tom. But personally I think there are still better players available. I won’t give up. I still hope it’s one of Greeves, Onley or Heatherton.

    People knocked his damage per possession. But if you look back a few years people did the same to Nick in his draft year (particularly against JHF - which I copped a barrage for pushing back against) Doing a scholarship under Nick and Pendles will see him bloom in our side IMO.

    It’s the movement in traffic that does it for me. He is evasive with his side step and spins out of trouble like the Dacai and Pendles. Doesn’t try to just burst through tackles.

    He was my first passion in this draft and I’m rapt we picked him. Learning off Nick and Pendles will accelerate his development unbelievably. Fingers crossed that Nick and Swaddles (?) can develop as an unstoppable tandem in the midfield.

    I can only assume it’s the speed thing COMBINED with the lack of defensive application. My view is that if you cant convince a player to defend appropriately at AFL level, with the significant coaching resources you have, you are shit at your job. He is too talented not to be picked up in 60...

    Greeves has to feel a bit slighted. Metro MVP and second in the Larke medal. I’d still take him over Saxena in the rookie draft. Same with Onley

    No ****ing idea… didn’t watch any Sanfl this year. Bit disappointed we didn’t take Onley or Greeves. But over the moon we took Swadling.
