Yes I quite agree that full objectivity would only be achieved with complete knowledge of the universe but the only way to move forward is to at least strive for (and insist others strive for) maximum objectivity in all discussions of matters of life and death.

Again you fall into the trap. The complexity of the universe is still way beyond our comprehension. So instead of simply accepting that reality as it currently stands, you automatically assign an entirely human construct as “thought” to what’s behind it.
I believe we HAVE to be rational all the time. Otherwise there is no way all human thought is on the same page.
