“We fought our way back. They were pretty good early, their pressure is good. They’re getting after us a bit, but we’ll keep going hard at the ball,” he said.
“They’re trying to get after us, it’s all off the ball. We’re just worried about the ball, we’ll keep being hard in the contest and get...
Well no, he’s not a dirty player, he plays hard but fair; he’s not a flog, he’s very good; and he wasn’t “sooking”, he was ridiculing Essendon because it didn’t work and so they just looked like campaigners.
But other than that, your post has considerable merit.
(Ahem) the AFL didn’t “let” Barry Hall play in the GF. They were forced to by the Swans taking them to court.
Swans hired one of the best QCs in the country to show them that as the rule stood, Hall had no case to answer. Unsurprisingly the AFL changed the rule as soon as they could.

I'm aware of two bits of fan footage from behind the goal umpire - one in which the ball partially disappears out of frame at a crucial point and is thus then useless (though it didn't stop Channel 7 running it with the caption that "this shows once and for all the umpire...
No, that is not definitive footage, and no, we can't see daylight between the ball and the goal at every point, because at one point the goal post is blocking our full view of the ball.
It certainly looks like a goal, and I have always said that.
But do you understand the crucial difference...
LOL not in NSW state schools, where students can go through their entire school life not knowing that the school offers Ethics classes as an alternative to Scripture, because the school is not allowed to tell the students unless the students ask. I kid you not.
And if there’s one thing we can all say with absolute certainty about soccer, it’s that its fans always approach any issue with gravity, prudence and circumspection.😆
