It’s one thing for Steele to struggle, but it’s another for someone underneath to take his spot. As someone concerned about his form I can’t overlook that no one is firmly putting up their hand to relegate him.

I probably would have marginally preferred a Thursday night VFL fixture because it means they’ll have potentially missed playing 2 of the 3 weeks prior to the biggest H&A fixture of the season. Considering that wasn’t really an option this is the next best outcome.

One ACL doesn’t seem to be the issue it once was. Take Petracca he’s played essentially every game since debuting following his. Multiple still feels dicey, but advancements in rehab and prehab seem to be going a long way in managing that as a limiting factor.
