well surely with the Mail Times reporting that Jeparit-Rainbow will join the HDFL for 2015, the new Southern Mallee Giants (Beluah/Hopeton) should look to join the Wimmera league from 2016 or even 2015 if they get their act together. If JR move, then a 5 team league is silly!!!

Whats everyone's thought on Jeparit-Rainbow joining the league for 2015? They were pretty woeful in the Mallee League this year, but may pick up a few Wimmera based ex Mallee locals for 2015? Any word on whether Chris Meyer (ex Kaniva and Edenhope-Apsley) is staying as their coach for 2015?

If most Goroke ppl play in Vic, why do Borders still play there then??? I understand a three-way merger can work, but for how long? If you look in the Mallee league most of those clubs are multiple club mergers but now only play and one home ground due to the upkeep costs. maintaining 3 grounds...

Sad news in the KNTFL with Kybybolite having to forfeit their reserves match on the weekend due to insufficient numbers. Word is there maybe a merger between Border Districts and Kyby (around 15 apart) but that would mean maintaining 3 grounds as Borders currently play 3 games per year at Goroke...

Not sure how that would work.... one club trying to maintain 3 grounds/facilities. If merging is the answer then you must split Borders and make a Frances/Kyby side but that leaves the Goroke people with nobody and they lost their chance to merge with Natimuk cos they have now merge with one...
