    It makes perfect sense to clear the decks in preparation for the arrival of the Tasmanian side. Tasmanians have put up with - and paid handsomely for - FIFO sides for a long time. It's now time for that second rate arrangement to end so complete focus can be directed towards the local team.

    I know people have been disputing you on this, but it is most definitely true if you compare both clubs at start up in Sydney, ie the Swans in 1982 and GWS in 2012. There is absolutely no comparison between how prepared (or ill-prepared) each club was for their respective entry into VFL/AFL...
