    It won't be in January. Most likely February 20ish if we're lucky. AFL clubs decide when their seconds side will play. They try to align it to when they play. It is total bull***t. Being a member of 2 standalone clubs it's frustrating. Richmond and Box Hill need to find a home ground this year...

    Box Hill City Oval grandstand has been torn down. They're hoping it would be completed in time for the 2027 season. Interesting to see where they'll play their home games next year. Richmond also 1 year away for home games at Punt road Oval.

    Werribee keep getting it done. Massimo Raso has signed on from Richmond. 19 years of age, 26 goals from 20 games in 2025.

    Im intrigued in who they will get as coach. Barlow was attacking and Jimmy Allen was very defensive. No whispers yet, they're keeping their cards close to their chest.

    Werribee pull off another big name. Charlie Lazzaro has left the borough. Great get just after they lose Malual. Looks like Port Melbourne is gonna have a shocker in 2026. I was hoping that all the standalones r competitive.

    Another premiership player has called time on his VFL career. Loved watching him play. That's the sad reality of the VFL, play 100 games and become life member of that club.

    This came out of the blue. Good get by the saints. Just when the bees were building up a good playing list for 2026, they gotta spend more time and energy to find a suitable replacement. Got no idea what sort of coach they'll be trying to get.

    Harry Grintell is playing on next year. He can play both ends of the field. He's played 72 VFL games, 52 for the bees.

    Werribee premiership ruckman Sam Conway has called time on his VFL career. He had the most hitouts in 2025. He played 51 games. Bees not only need a full forward they need a ruck as well.

    The salary cap for standalone clubs needs to increase. The VFL is the 2nd best comp in the country and its ridiculous that players leave these clubs and go back to local footy. Far too many good players leaving VFL barely playing 100 games.

    There should be a standalone carnival , Sandy is in and Preston is out. Like to see it at Ballarat again, liked going there.
