Welcome to the South West. How far south? Some of these places are freezing during the day already (like Bridgetown, Manjimup etc)

Current 4yo Boy Missing Yunta SA * Police Declare a Major Crime

What Police know and what Police release to the public are two very different things, for varying reasons. The media is a tool in Police investigations and what they release to the public is very carefully planned.

I never said Police can't lay a charge without a complainant. I said there has to be a complainant, in which is necessary for a reasonable prospect of conviction. It is somewhat negligent to charge someone without a complainant with a view to discontinue charges before trial, especially given...

Sure. What do the bikies get charged with? As you correctly point out - the decision to charge someone absolutely rests with Police. In an assault matter, without a victim, there may be sufficient corroborative evidence, however the prospect of conviction is slim to none.

I agree - there is a lot of good evidence. Your last paragraph says it all though - no complainant, no charge. I'd say he'd be charged by now if the victim had provided a statement. Police also have other options in these circumstances, such as fighting in public causing fear.

The level of injury is indeed significant. Assault causing bodily harm is unlikely to result in a term of imprisonment, much like the Balta case. A broken jaw is borderline GBH (permanent injury or risk of permanent injury without medical intervention).

There has to be a complainant. Someone needs to stand up in Court and say "yes, this thing happened to me". A significant amount of assaults don't result in charges.

Lot's of "wait and see" opinions in here. Have you seen the video? His claim of self defence is bollocks. Sucker punched a bloke and then ran directly towards another before going off camera. A second later that bloke is on the ground pleading for him to stop. If a complaint is forthcoming from...

The answer: Before work I have an (almost) 1 year old. Tried a few different things this year, but the best for routine has been waking up early and getting exercise in before work, generally whilst everyone else is still asleep. Made even easier if you have some equipment at home, or you like...

Spoken like someone who is absolutely clueless about how things work. What about evidence? If Police were in possession of a search warrant, then I daresay, wait for it..... they were searching for things related to an offence 😲. Therefore, and I need you to bare with me here because it gets...
