    Position 2026 Midfielders

For what it’s worth Caldwell obviously only played the 11 games last year, but played 23, 21 and 20 in the previous 3.

    Position 2026 Defenders

You can pretty much guarantee that all of Ridley, Redman, Roberts, McGrath and Reid will average somewhere between 80-95. Ridley is the only one that potentially has a chance of being a premium, health permitting.

AFL Player 1: Andrew "Pidge" McGrath (c) - 42nd Captain of the Essendon Football Club

Tell that to premiership captains Nick Maxwell, Jarrad McVeigh, Easton Wood and Shannon Hurn.

AFL Player 1: Andrew "Pidge" McGrath (c) - 42nd Captain of the Essendon Football Club

This guy is honestly so underrated. No he isn’t a perfect player or a superstar by any means, but he is much better than the plodder many on here make him out to be. Any discussion around him falling out of the side is pretty funny. He would get a game as a lockdown defender in most contending...

AFL Player 9: Sullivan Robey - 192cm mid-forward, Welcome to Essendon!

Pretty crazy that one selection was the difference between us taking a guy ranked borderline top 5 on most draft boards instead of a guy ranked in the mid to late teens. I’m sure Grlj will be a very good player for Richmond, but the cards sure did fall our away.

Recruiting James Hird Academy (Father/Son and Next Generation)

On Kako's Instagram story he is already kitted out in a Freo jersey, so I think he would've had some idea that we wouldn't match. The Freo links have been in the media for months so shouldn't come as a big surprise.

    Recruiting AFL Draft Watch 2025 - Picks 9, 10, 13, 37

If you can bother to scroll through the Richmond draft thread, their reactions to that mock make for pretty funny reading now.

Let's dive into what the great man has achieved. Prior to the 2024 trade period, our draft position stood as follows: 2024 picks: pick 8, pick 28 2025 picks: each of our own picks We now have turned that hand into 4 top 15 picks (Kako, Robey, Farrow, Sharp) as well as Clarke, Johnson, Gerreyn...

He mentioned in an interview that he's dreamt about celebrating goals in front of packed MCG crowds. Shame he'll only get to do them in front of 20k at Marvel each week.

All three speak very well. Sharp is a future captain of the club imo.

    AFL Player 16: Archie Perkins

He may never see the midfield again.
