    Lara Football Club have gone into recess after finding it difficult to compete in the Geelong Football League in recent seasons. Perennial cellar dwellers North Shore seemingly managing to hang in there for this season. Would have thought both clubs would be better dropping down to the District...

    Outer East and some other leagues have reduced reserves quarters from 25 mins to 20 mins. A bit more appealing to fringe players and a bit shorter day for match officials and volunteers. How about it EDFL?

    Yarroweyah from Picola League have gone into recess. It’s difficult to fill junior football / netball teams when there is no longer any primary school. Plus there is Strathmerton only 5 mins west and Cobram 10 mins to the east trying to do the same.

    Federal (Corryong) have gone into recess. Leaves just 4 clubs in the Upper Murray comp.

    Ardmona gone into recess due to lack of players for 2022. There no town at Ardmona other than a few farms. Too many clubs in the Shepperton area already. The available players can help fill the gaps in some nearby clubs struggling to fill reserve / junior teams.

    Cooryong lost by 21 goals. The only consolation for them is Federals lost by even more - 24 goals! Geez.

    Upper Murray club Border Walwa not fielding teams this season. Hard to see the club ever re-starting.

    Upper Murray FL 2019

    Walwa cound not find the 60 or so blokes needed to field two mens team apparantly. If the comp was changed to a single grade, like Northern Riverina or Millawa FL (Mildura area) then chances are they could have found the 30 players. Pity the league won’t adapt to suit the population.
