Autopsy Cats lose to Lions by 47 odd in GF

Brisbane's midfield is better than ours. AFL games are won and lost won the midfield - that was the game. Sure in the QF we nullified their midfield (plus they lost Neale within that game) but it only worked once. Lose the clearances and stoppages and you will lose the game.

Autopsy AFL 2025 Round 11 - Cats v Dogs Thurs May 22nd 7:30pm AEST (GMHBA)

watch the replay - there was two of them on either side of the contest and neither of them called it. Guess it may have been not quite over the line before it was controlled. OR, the evil geniuses at geelong have worked out that bribing boundary umpires can be more fruitful than field umpires...

Autopsy AFL 2025 Round 11 - Cats v Dogs Thurs May 22nd 7:30pm AEST (GMHBA)

Aah yes the cheat ground argument. Question for you....if Geelong were to play Hawthorn in Geelongs home final....whose home ground would we have to play on? Of the last 25 grand finals there has been a MCG club in 16 of them....yet there's only 4 MCG clubs - yours being one of them...

you'd be surprised at how easily they can be bribed, it was only can of coke and a packet of chips each :thumbsu:

Review Cats hang on by 3 points to beat Pies

Couldn't agree more with this statement. Geelong Football club effectively put up the middle finger to the face of the AFL for consecutive 6 day breaks, Collingwood's (and others) ridiculous MCG advantages and equalization and proved that heart and teamwork can overcome the odds. Fantastic...

Love how the "second" finals get played before the first....outsiders must look at this and just scratch their heads

Preview How do you see the Cats 2024 Finals going?

ok granted there is always hope. But this isn't 2022, we don't have a strong midfield and yeah sure when we can move the ball easily with no opposition we can score heavily but the saints just showed us how a bit of pressure will bring us unstuck and very rapidly. Credit to the club and the...

Preview How do you see the Cats 2024 Finals going?

There's no bigger "if" than that. I give us no hope against Port - even if played in Melbourne but I think we have a better than average shot against Brisbane in Melbourne the week after, I'd rather face them than Bulldogs or Hawthorn. EDIT: just realized we would play Hawthorn or Bulldogs!!! -...
