ahh cool, who was ur grandfather, i've only been in mannum for 4 years but am now involved with the club and love it there. as for the discretions lets just say the coach was being aggressive to someone they shouldn't have and as a result the team manager quit
well mate im from murray bridge, ive always loved the mannum fc and my grandfather was a life member i believe, if i may ask what were the off field discretions
well the coach not turning up to training for two weeks is pretty poor and leaving the onus to the captain to pick the side is unfair considering the stress he is already under. clives training ethic for those two weeks had been poor and it was the captains decision to drop him. the captain did throw the towel in friday night but has since returned and was there tuesday night for training. dave was good for the club absolutely but once you've lost the players there's not alot you can do. maybe if dave didn't have some unsavoury off field discretions then this whole scenario wouldn't have happened. anyway the years not over and hopefully the lads pull together because there is no standout team in the rmfl at the moment. where are you from and what is your interest in the comp?
long story with lots of rumours buddy, not sure what the real full story is because i'm not friends with the ex coach so all my info comes from current players. basically there was a falling out between the coach and team manager a few weeks ago, the team manager quit, the coach decided not to come to training and then on saturday he asked the players if he had their respect or something like that and many said no so he quit. clive works for the coach so he followed him out the door, but not before he was dropped to the b grade for poor training ethic.
