I'm amazed at how many people care about the front cover of the game, or the logo, or the name, let alone expecting it to have features like FIFA. I couldn't care less what features, modes or look it has, I just want an AFL game with a realistic, enjoyable and long-term playable game engine...

All it needs is a couple of bug fixes - bit better AI, stop the automatic draw a player in, fix up the protected zones that make it impossibly easy to play on, make bumping less ridiculous and you're probably there with a fantastic AFL game. I'd certainly pay for a new patch for AFL Live 1.

If Rivers isn't playing our options are Mackie plays on a ruckman, Blicavs or West play in defence or Pods goes back (with Vardy or Kersten at CHF - if it's the former, West plays as first ruck). I would say Pods as a defender would be the smallest surprise in that scenario.
