    Geelong - never going out of premiership contention?

    The Cats have only turned their club around since the 2000s for this sustained period of finals. They challenged in the late 80s and 90s, without success. As an older fan, who saw the VFL days from the 70s, Geelong benefitted greatly from F/S.

    They werent the best teams in the H&A between 2001 and 2004 either though. However, I would rate those teams miles above this group, the 2001-2004 had alot more stars in that team.
