Word from the inside is that Lars is an option and that is what he will be doing this time. Nathan recommended Lars the first time and was ignored. He will be behind everyone else in preseason training but round 1 will be a definite possibility. -

Carlton lost picks 1 and 2 in the 2002 draft ( along with others). All of the picks combined the crows will loose will not be equal to one of those two picks. Also back then there was no free agency. The penalties are not in the same ball park. -

A question that you may be able to help with. I thought that in the standard AFL contract a player did not get paid for the period they are suspended. My understanding is that their contract pays them for about 45 weeks in the year so Tippett would loose about 15 weeks pay (nab cup and 11... -

Very well said. I see part of the problem is that here in Australia players salary contracts are kept secret and so we all (especially on BF) just speculate on what they are getting. Then if someone is playing better than another on a higher salary we all think it is the end of the world. In... -

There is a difference between being a contracted player and a registered player with a club. Tippett is no longer contracted by the crows, that stopped on the 31 October I think. However he is however still a registered crows player and the afl are stopping the crows from delisting him. This... -

I dont see it as the great result that many do, however I dont see it as the worst thing ever either. I am just not sure that 875k is value. 550 - 600k OK.
