nah not really. you couldn't give it to a guy in the CA set-up who wants to do the full-time job so rixon and co are gone, and you couldn't really give it to a random outside the CA set-up given it's a three week job and all, and you couldn't give it to any of domestic coaches, so it's really kinda a last man standing thing. it was either tim nielsen or troy cooley...and nielsen quit. Not much to get upset about. Giving it to Langer or Rixon would have been much worse...particularly if it's a successful tour. Only thing to be worried about is whether his former role as bowling coach creates problems with selection...
