That's a long time ago and recently we've had the 'advantage' of finishing with top draft picks.
Who would a ruthless list manager seek a trade for, amongst our best 22?
When was the last time we traded out a valuable player to obtain good draft pick/s in order to target a gun player of need, either through the draft or trading with another club?
Early SOS era?
I think we are in a position to target a dangerous small/med. FWD, but you need to be a bit ruthless...
Playing 1 ruck + Harry makes it easier to squeeze Kennedy and Eli into the mid mix without removing other forward options(with a fuller list, Kennedy isn't quick enough to remain forward) , I'm not sure if Carroll is the answer, but he's still young and learning(depth).

Great game, it had everything.
The 2 ruck plan was a master stroke today:nose:, the whole team struggled a little, but fought it out in the first half against a class outfit... clinical in the second half.
After this team performance, who's being dropped next week?
I can't see Carlton cutting Doc, Cripps, George and Kennedy for at least 2 more years, which won't make our midfield any faster for a while.
A brutal/but unpopular list manager might think about tapping at least one of them on the shoulder sooner, rather than later.
Reckon SOS would do it if he...
