Hitting the post when kicking for goal should be play on. Goes through and hits the post on the way = goal. Bounces back into play is play on. Would halve the number of goal kicking controversies (and reviews).

I do take your point, but I don't think it's necessarily as clear cut as you're describing. If his ONLY interest is the EASIEST route to playing longevity then logically sure, go the Eagles every time.

Think you're underestimating Baker here, he'd be easily between top 10 to 15 in any club. If he can maintain something like his current form and is being forced out by kids Freo (and he) are winning flags.

Yeah agree it counts form something, just not a lot (and yes the Kamdyn comparison is a touch hyperbolic). It may well get him into the hall of fame at some point, but as it stands wouldn't be anywhere near legend status without a fair degree of success at Gold Coast, at least IMHO.
As others have said, both need more flags at their new club to be in the conversation, and I think they both need it to be multiple flags.
