It was a mistake to keep him on. Crickets from the guy who defended GW's decision on that by making up excuses for him, "maybe there wasn't any better candidates", etc. I have been fully vindicated here.
If he was a good coach, he would've made the appropriate tactical changes when it was...
Too right.
I would've traded all of Weitering, Kruezer, Murphy, Gibbs, etc in a heartbeat if it meant never getting those spoons. Not that they did that much to help us win a flag anyway. It's a permanent black mark on our record. Most of the league's best players have been drafted later in the...
There is no point keeping this coaching group. People saying they weren't even talking to the players during the breaks, just looking at their magnet board.
I'll say it again: Voss should've been sacked after that EF.
Should've traded him for Petracca, sacked Voss and kept Charlie.
"BuT hoW dOeS iT wIn Us A pReMiErShIp" was the counterargument to that, for losers who want to tank to last spot for draft capital that will just come into the club and be Carltonised.
"Umpire assisted". You had your chance in the final round to beat Port. And just like us in '22 against the Pies, you failed to win that winnable game and missed the finals. At least we've got something in common!
Tim Clarke is probably the worst one there. Midfield setup is the worst in the league, when contested work is supposed to be our "one wood". Amazing he wasn't sacked. But apparently Cripps likes him and wanted him to stay, players have too much decision power at this club.
Voss' position, as well as whoever decided to play Elijah, is untenable. Rip the bandaid off now, admit the mistake, and move on.
Hanging onto to him is going to do more damage than just having a caretaker coach.
