Horse tried getting games into Roberts last year, even though he was starting sub in a few games.
He eventually got into the starting 22 for some games and then got injured.
Horse has spun the magnets around this year with our medium backs (Gull to wing, Fox up Fwd, McInerney wing/fwd) and...
Not too similar to Collingwood, they've only had 4 coaches since Leigh Matthews who started in the mid 80s.
You could argue that Tony Shaw was probably the only coach who was outright given the arse, but the lesson here is that if you pick and stick with the coach and have a good football...
First boost for the year:
Young, Gibcus, Coffield
To
NWM, Massimo, Sink the Pink
If Young is doing panic dump kicks against North and a Neale-less Lions , he will cack his dacks around the stronger midfields.
GTFO out of my team pony tail
No, but IMO he will be named up forward each week but on game day he will be given the license to play as an extra on baller.
He has elite endurance and can float forward , they won’t waste him as a tall forward like they did last year.
He was excellent in the first two weeks but he can’t keep carrying that midfield.
People are dumping on him but they should be having a crack at De Goey, he has been De Pooey all year.
Im having trouble getting onto Tooserious for breakevens.
Who is on the bubble this week?
At a glance I can see:
Roberts
Sexton
Howes
Windsor
Thomas
Wehr
Berry
Campbell
Anyone I’m missing?
Am thinking Lazaro to Berry at this stage
Long post straight ahead :)
I think that Parker will be playing 70/30 fwd/mid. He looked shot at the back end of last year, turns 32 this year and will only attend CBAs and get mid time in case of emergency IMO.
Mills is mostly an outside mid, even if he goes in the guts he will be in more of...
I don’t get the hate for North not picking McDonald.
They already have, IMO, the best key forward in the game and both Larkey and McDonald are more FF than CHFs, I don’t think having them in the same team would work.
As for people saying both Phillips and McDonald are busts, FMD
