Review Round 22,2024 - Brisbane Lions vs. GWS

Might be what saves us. Allegedly the formula is if the crowd is forecast to be 55k plus it has to be mcg, if not can be gmhba. crowd in 2022 prelim was 78k. Yes a prelim still that’s a lot more than 55k…

Game Day Round 22, 2024 - Brisbane Lions vs. GWS

Gross decision. But c’mon boys focus. Turning in to swans match vibes

    Non Lions Discussion 2024

Warner would be a much better player if he didn’t bounce it every 2 metres. The first bounce is such a ‘look at me’ bounce and just allows opponents to close on him. Obviously talented but needs some coaching intervention in terms of team football. Josh Daicos also loves ducking these days!

    Non Lions Discussion 2024

It is looming as the most likely way we miss top 2 if we win 2/3. Port second most likely - if they win their next 2 they would then have the dockers at perth to stay second (if we have dropped one by then). Big question will be what will the dockers be playing for? Giants have dogs away so...

Preview Round 22 - Brisbane v Greater Western Sydney @ The Gabba (Saturday 1:45pm AEST)

9 in a row. all sorts if challenges answered. Yet if we lose this weekend it could all be for nought! Fork in the road 1 - we win on saturday. Only need to win one of the last 2 to guarantee top 4, and likely get top 2. Pressure off v the pies and we can play with freedom. Huge flag chance...

Unofficial Preview Changes vs Giants - round 22

Will be extremely one-sided. If we manage one of our good starts it will be a cauldron. Giants tend to go well away tbf. Pies prelim a great example!

Unofficial Preview Changes vs Giants - round 22

Could well be the case. One thing Hogan does really well is judge the flight of the ball. Perhaps not a strength of Joyce…

Unofficial Preview Changes vs Giants - round 22

Gws have a few talls. From last week’s team: taylor, buckley and idun key backs. Hogan and cadman key forwards. Then two more on the bench, gruzewsmi and himmelberg. I suspect we’ll be keen to play Joyce if he is fit. If they go four talls could be harris to hogan, joyce to cadman, lester to...

    Non Lions Discussion 2024

Well my lions brothers and sisters we had something go our way. The mighty dons doing over the dockers! Such a shame our crow brethren didn’t quite knock off the cats. Intriguingly if we win 2/3 we will likely finish top 2. If we win 2 more: Swans probably stay above us although who knows...

Review Round 21, 2024 - St. Kilda vs. Brisbane Lions

It’s an interesting conundrum Morris was really good today Hipwood has had some cracking games this year. But if there is one player you don’t want going down it’s probably oscar. Got concussed v geelong this year. And v tiges in 2022 EF. Could Smith be a sub especially vs a team with a good...

    2nds 2024 VFL thread

Judging by lack of afl and poor vfl, wce might be looking around for a packet of chips to trade for dev? He seems so far down the pecking order now i’m not sure there is any point in keeping him.

Preview Round 21 - St. Kilda v Brisbane Lions (Sunday, 4 August 2024 at Marvel Stadium)

How limited MR? Seems to be getting average number of possessions albeit not many hitouts

Preview Round 21 - St. Kilda v Brisbane Lions (Sunday, 4 August 2024 at Marvel Stadium)

Yeah with concussion as of Thursday he was either totally fine or not playing. If he is not playing and we are foxing, smith would be in the 22, Bruce sub, but not sure why fort would be held over? I can’t imagine fort, smith and oscar in the same side! Saints have a lot in the low to mid 190cm...

Preview Round 21 - St. Kilda v Brisbane Lions (Sunday, 4 August 2024 at Marvel Stadium)

Hmm. Best guess from that then he would be round 23 at best? Which is about the same time as Payne. Still relevant as who know if Payne breaks down. But it means we are vulnerable v the giants. Hogan is so far their best forward i’d think harris gets him BUT hogan good on the lead. So maybe...
