While not necessarily the most depth, I think some could agree that we have the most EVEN list in the competition, that's why it is so hard to pick best 22s. This doesn't mean we have great depth, it just means the next man in is, give or take a bit, almost the same quality as the man that came...
Anyone got any news of whether Roberts, Cordy or Young have been training up forward? We could do with one of them becoming a Schache back up rather than that extra key defender. Get the feeling its most likely to be Roberts if this happens.
Naughton & Morris- FB
Cordy & Young- CHB
How about this.
Early April-Late May- Get as many people playing county cricket as possible
World Cup- 7 Test Players (Smith, Warner, Hazlewood, Starc, Cummins, Stoinis, Richardson)
During World Cup- 17 man A Squad play 4 or 5 Four Day Matches. Early exit of World Cup means World Cup players...
Agree. What we have now is 'Australia' and in theory Warner and Smith should be earning their spot back (which they will).
Pat Cummins (world cup)
Mitchell Starc (world cup)
I think most people are settled on a main 17 or 18 players. The main questions for me are, do we take Will Pucovski, even though there are so many bats in the squad? I think A tour for him. Do we take a backup keeper in Carey? A tour for him too in my opinion.
Reserve Flexible Bat
+ any 2 of Bird, Siddle, Sayers, Worrall, Pattinson, Boland, Tremain...
I just think how good would the A-League be if basically the whole socceroos squad came back plus a few others like Juric. Would increase the level you have to be to go overseas anyway because the level here would be much better. Like I said, only Arzani, Mooy, Ryan and Leckie have a legitimate...
Would rather those playing in the lower european leagues come back to the A-League. Improve the quality here, and then get guaranteed game time. Only go overseas if you are in a big league like Leckie, Mooy and Ryan. Rogic could get a big move but has declined which sucks
Edit: And Arzani can...
