BBL BBL Match 13 Brisbane Heat v Adelaide Strikers 27/12 1845hrs @ the Gabba

Not often you see these really quick young kids come in to the big bash and already have the extra tricks to go along with the pace. Pretty impressive changes of pace, slower balls, and slower ball bouncers. Seems to have a cricket brain as well as the pace.

Callum Vidler's parent's should have known better when he was born that he was going to be in a full Qld pace battery of Tom's one day.

Tom Balkin nudging 147k on Big Bash debut and winning the game for the Heat bowling the final over. Love to see that. And all that in the first match of cricket he has played at any level since the end of last season. Add him to the ever growing list of quality young quicks coming through the...

    Duke or Kookaburra

Also 2 different types of dukes ball. The dukes ball that is used for Windies home matches isn't the same model as is used in England.

BBL BL Match 6 Brisbane Heat v Perth Scorchers 19/12 1845hrs @ the Gabba

Salzmann is out for the season. Tore his hamstring off the bone in a shield match

There's a few young bowlers warming the benches right now that I'd love to see get a crack like the younger batsman are. Really hope we see Oliver Patterson get a game for the Heat, reminds me a bit of a young Joel Paris, quick enough and absolutely hoops it. Having a great premier cricket...

BBL BBL Match 2 Melbourne Renegades v Brisbane Heat 15/12 1845hrs @ Kardinia Park

I guess they are backing him to reproduce what he did in the T20 Max comp in Brisbane a few months back. Made 474 runs at just under a 100 which no one else came close to, I don't hate the plan but can't give him more than a few matches to prove that he is capable of doing it in the BBL too...

    BBL BBL Signings 2024/25

Noticed Liam Haskett was bowling in the nets at the Gabba at heat training the other night. Guessing he may have been picked up as a test replacement player to cover the loss of Neser. Plus loss of Spenjo for the season too I guess. Would love to see the young left arm quick Oliver Patterson...

    Ashes 25/26

Tribe made his 100 against Australia A, facing Richardson, Bartlett, O'Neil and Murphy. 53no in the PM's XI match.

    Ashes 25/26

Asa Tribe seems a positive for the Poms. 129no against Aus A today and 53no against the PM's XI. Plenty of runs for Glamorgan during the county season. Not sure I can see Rob Key acknowledging Div 2 county though, he'd sooner play Bethell so he can say "I told you so" when/if he ever lives up to...

Test The Ashes Second Test December 4-8 1430hrs @ The Gabba

Nathan McSweeney 222no at stumps for Aus A. Xavier Bartlett really starting to hit his straps with the bat like everyone that has watched him batting at the lower levels have been waiting for him to do. Couple 50's in the shield lately and 83 yesterday.

Test The Ashes Second Test December 4-8 1430hrs @ The Gabba

I'd like to know if Inglis's performance in the CAXI "match" actually swayed the decision or if he would have played regardless. I'd imagine Webster would be spewing that he didn't get to play in it if it's actually counted toward Inglis's selection. That match was a joke, glorified centre...
