In hindsight 25 and 40 for schache was good business. He was looking like a bust after 2 years and never changed that narrative.

in a scenario where a player medically retires the salary would be 1st year - 90% outside cap 2nd year - 75% outside cap 3rd year - 50% outside cap So it really isn’t the risk you’re insinuating it is. Eagles giving a good pick to lions for a player lions have no right receiving anything...

Thus far not losing too much sleep over Sid Draper. Langford looks decent, but still plenty of time for Bo to show his goods. I don’t disagree it was a shit trade, but it’s too early to say we won’t come out winners in the end.

I thought tas entering the comp when they did was actually a good thing for us. Another two drafts we should have sufficient youth. At that point start filling gaps with trades in compromised drafts. Not to mention teams entering a rebuild phase were going to be in struggle town.

I hope 1.2m isn’t the threshold for first round compo lol, because I think lions would rather let him stay then offer that.

This is just pure speculation on your behalf. Xavier recommitted to port and then his form tailed off and was in and out of the team. Port and him basically were mutually happy to move on, it’s not a case of him hanging the interstate team to dry. Yasmin was one of the few who literally was...

indeed. with the hand we have it makes no sense to trade down. taking duursma is a no brainer. imagine not taking a guy because your scared he turns out good and we may have to pay him. looks like vic media antics are too much for some to handle. harls ptsd i guess.

Typically guys who aren’t at the front end of the draft all season have a more open mindset to going interstate.. for so long they are just trying to get drafted. That being said splitting pick 1 is such a stupid idea for me . Just use the later picks and whatever we get from Chesser to...

It’s just a bit ridiculous though. The most looked after team in afl — the lions — essentially are given something they wouldn’t be entitled to otherwise, given that with Allen and Draper they are no chance of any sort of compo. A 3rd rnd pick or F3 is more then they would get under FA, so why...

Would be livid if we gave up duursma so we can get farrow later. Willem looks like a game breaker.
