Review Round 7, 2026 - Brisbane Lions vs. Adelaide

Yeah there is just zero reason to bring back Zorks or Answerth I know we are not inside the club sports science etc, but to me calf plus zorks says add a week at least.* *i retain the legal right to say boy we are missing Zorko's willingness to take the game on when we are 2 goals down against...

Review Round 7, 2026 - Brisbane Lions vs. Adelaide

Linc is an interesting one. Looked great in the air and good on Rankine. Missed some kicks but most seemed a case of very attacking kicks. Makes sense normally he goes for anything which comes off cause turning it over 20m out is fine. I think he just looks very classy wherever he is this year...

Review Round 7, 2026 - Brisbane Lions vs. Adelaide

Okay so allow me this indulgence. I think that's the first time I have contributed to the game day thread and not needed new linen. I dunno just felt like we were well on top early. Good performance and we looked on early. Not putting heaps in it as the crowd just looked very flat I know the...

Game Day Round 7, 2026 - Brisbane Lions vs. Adelaide

Came in for a hot take on Bailey but they are all taken! On top in general play Need to lower our eyes more Convert set shots We are too bees to a honeypot in Defence - relax and back our defenders to handle it in the air and keep on your opponent This is very unlike me but right now I...

I stand corrected! They really seem too tall to me. I guess Maley has at least been a goal threat. But given they have the 3 talls and 2 genuine rucks, Murray is going to get seriously low minutes. I wonder if it's all set up to be TT or Walker rested...

Not sure I'd call Murray genuine tall forward, and there is nothing to say he is any sort of goal threat. I guess though playing a taller bloke might force us to play Harris on TT but to be honest he seems by far the best match-up anyway. Gallop would be a real risk Therefore if it ends up...

True in that Heath did very little with little tog Melbourne have a some very good runners though, and we were down a rotation early. Maybe it bez played the game it would have made a difference Melbourne also had Gawn and we had ZZ. Very different ruck battle this week It's interesting that...

Crows playing 2 rucks, good result for us I think, as we more than match them with our rucks and now they are less likely to outrun us. Murray's only game so far was 32% tog for 2 possessions and 7 hit outs so he is basically a ZZ at this of his career.

Preview R7: Changes vs. Brisbane Lions

It's early in the season but feels like the winner will remain on track for top 4, and the loser will be unlikely. I agree the crows have more upside with quite a few key players to come back. Lions we have Zorko and Berry in the short term but nobody else really guaranteed. Feels like the...

    Forgetting Sam Marshall

    Cool good meeting then :)

I think WCR makes 5 and 6 closer to top 4. You get an opponent that has had zero break. I think there could be more blowouts as a result. So EG the lions get a week off, then host Melbourne at the gabba. They could be running on empty. we get a very easy game and roll on through the finals...

    Forgetting Sam Marshall

What do you mean by defensive work? He is the only other player in the squad with Berry's running power. So he can be that player running back on transition and being that 5m closer that can make a difference. To me that seems to be something we are missing a lot this year. Anyway given...

Preview Round 7: Brisbane Lions v Adelaide Crows Sunday 26 April 2026 3:15 PM

Anyone else feeling like Sunday is a huge fork in the road for us? 4 losses already would make it very hard for top 4. And 2 losses in a row when we are very strong favourities would buck the trend last year in which every bad loss was followed by a big win. Added to that Fages looked very...

    Forgetting Sam Marshall

It's a fair bet over the past years pitting bigfooty vs fagan. I am definitley guitly a few times. But what really has me scratching my head is him not replacing bez. We don't have many genuine wingers. Bruce is learning it, Levi is not really suited, Clugga is better mid. Marshall seems perfect.

yeah that's got me buggered. Hot day too his running would be a great asset. If we lose and get done on transition I'll spew up! Interesting bench I'd assume Joyce doesn't play given Gallop is in. So 2/3 of Brain, Tunstill and McKenna. Maybe McKenna playing some defensive forward and releasing...
