He sounded like he was barracking for Pies and Pendles to me. He was just appreciating how tough Eagles made it for Pies. Eagles played to win and you cant fault that.
I tore my ACL playing basketball and one thing I've heard from physios is that to land on both legs and your knee slightly bent. Seeing players buckle their knees as they land on one leg gives me severe anxiety. The recovery from ACL is so traumatizing. Cant walk for 2-3 months, cant run for...
Pies are scraping for fit players in the second half of the season. Its times to throw the kids in the deep end and hope they harden up quick for next season.
Elliot injury opens up Harrison and Bobby Hill for a spot. Moore looks like he has a mild strain and looks relaxed so could be back in a...
Eagles is will be a good team in a year or 2. They tried real hard this game.
Pies as usual relaxes when they get up 3+ goals. And it costed them Elliot playing his last senior game.
Should have played for the kill in that 3rd quarter to make Eagles stop trying and coast to a win...
Harvey Harrison comes in for Elliot. Irony, a young player who comes back from ACL injury replaces an old player who injures his ACL.
Whomever invents a bionic like implant that prevents knee ligament tears will make billions.
Jamie's pretty much done after this injury. Comes back in 12 months, but doesnt get fit until 18 months after the injury. As a mid 30s player, he will not get back to his best. He is done pretty much, his contract expires by the time he is fit.
Umpires held the whistle on a few Collingwood free kicks... but very generous with Swans. This is a farce.
AFL doesn't have integrity. If they did this game will be forfeited in how boas the calls are.
Yeah, many teams would put up high inside 50s if their goal was simply kick the ball towards their goal end blindly.
Inside 50s should not just be assessed in quantities but an efficiency number next to it. Or even a scoring ratio from inside 50 stat. Commentators broadly describing inside 50s...
I respect Geelong and think they are a decent team still, but they will get smashed by Lions, Dockers, Hawks, Swans in the finals setting. They are not 52 points better than Pies. Kudos to Cats for this game, but Pies absolutely played horrible. I think and believe Richmond would have beaten...
Pendles still has the teams best mind, he tells players where to go and what to do and it usually leads to good things. Sure, he looks slow but he still knows what to do with the ball when he gets it. He was the difference last year against Lions in the prelim.
Concern for me is that Collingwood couldn't defend or stop Geelong handballing their way out of the Collingwood forward 50 and into a objectively open goal path for Geelong. Like the cats had 2 or 3 free players ready to run the ball to the goal square.... easily.
What disappointed me the most...
