Can we upgrade Assistant coaches for 2022?

Dimma is a great man manager, can pick talent and can identify the problems with our system when it breaks down. However, as a collective I don’t think our Assistant Coaches were the best in the industry this year.

Can we upgrade Assistant coaches for 2022?

I was sitting in the Jack Dyer stand watching training when Maurice returned from Sydney (ironically my ex brother in law was shipped to Collingwood so we could bring Maurice back to the club), I was there when the supporters turned feral on KB in the old rooms in the Northern stand, I grew up...

Can we upgrade Assistant coaches for 2022?

I’d be wrapped if Kingsley got the job at Carlton. I’m not convinced he’s got a great feel for people. Tactically he might be switched on, but footy is more about people. I’m not convinced Dimmi is great tactian, he can barely string a coherent sentence together, but he gets footballers. You can...

    Player Watch #12 Ben Miller

Very small sample with Miller, but I already prefer him to Garthwaite. Garthwaite’s kicking is atrocious. There was a game this year where we used him as the distributor from half back. He turned it over repeatedly. Plus, he hasn’t got the size to hold down the monster forwards. They just role...

    Player Watch #47: Ivan Soldo

An absolute beast. Wants to physically intimidate and hurt the opposition. A massive unit. Can cluck marks down the line, taps to advantage and gets the footy when it hits the deck. He’s an upgrade on CCJ. Let’s hope his injuries are behind him.

    Player Watch #40: Callum Coleman-Jones

If CCJ is open to moving to another Melbourne based club, not just Nth Melbourne, it could throw us a life line and we could still push for a fairer trade. He might be open to assisting us due to those much publicised indiscretions and the club supporting him through that period. However, I...

    Player Watch #40: Callum Coleman-Jones

He’s been in the system for 4 years and his development has been overseen by Big Ivan. However, I’m not saying he can’t make it, I just don’t see him getting into our best 22. If we wanted to keep him, then he wouldn’t be heading across to North.

He’s not a premiership ruckman. He’s not even in our best 22. Imagine the melts if we lost someone we really valued, like Bolton, Balta or Nank. Best of luck to the kid. We can’t be throwing around big $ for a project player. It just shows where North’s list is at.

We keep the players we want and let go of those we don’t. CCJ would sit behind NANK and Soldo. He’d be cover for Lynch in the forward line. Maybe we have to accept pick 38 or let him go to the PSD. I don’t think he’s a special talent. He’s a poor mans Brendon Gale. More like Paddy Steinfort.

List Mgmt. Trade & Free Agency talk Pt 4

I’m not that fused about CCJ. As long as we don’t get bent over backwards by North. Anyway, at last we are developing our own rucks. Something we haven’t done for a long, long time. Credit Big Ivan. Really rate that bloke. I’m keen to retain Stack as he is elite. I’d prefer to invest resources...

List Mgmt. Trade & Free Agency talk Pt 4

He’s got some good attributes. Nice hands, knows where to find the footy around the goals and can take a contested mark down the line. Not very agile, slimmed down this season which meant he got pushed around in the ruck by the bigger bodies and his kicking for goal is a bit questionable (missed...

Prediction Who is Richmond's next Captain

A great captain. Did everything for the club. My vote is for Dusty.

He doesn’t owe us anything and we don’t owe him anything. We need to secure the best offer that’s available. I trust Blair and Tim. Players don’t leave Richmond if we truly want to keep them. His pathways blocked by Nank. Soldo and Lynch down forward. He’ll always have to wait for someone to get...

Can we upgrade Assistant coaches for 2022?

I’m not convinced they are that great. I think Leppitsch and McRae carried the group. We only need to listen to Big Red on channel 7 to see his level of insight into the game. Plus, McRae has snagged the Collingwood job. I suppose it’s subjective, but didn’t the coach bang on all season about...
