There was a photo of him day 1 walking into the club with a backpack, yet to see or hear anything of him since so there is every chance the 25m walk with a back pack caused a stress reaction in his back and his will not be seen again until May -

The elevation will be tough, as there are few steep bites to go up. The toughest part is the 15 or so Km where you leave the gardens, head towards Leopold, then out to Point Henry and back into the gardens as it will be boring as bat shit out that way and super exposed if windy... Melbourne going to a ballot has got me about to enter Geelong now, the course had put me off.. but a guarantee over a maybe wins. Plus a mate and group from my run club are all going to do it together, so not chasing a PB and just a good experience should be good hopefully
