Carlton List Boss Hangs Up Boots

It wasn't long ago when Brian Cook was supposed to fix all of Carlton's problems, so the jury is still out for mine. Although to be fair, it's still early days as Graham Wright has only been Carlton's CEO for 9 months.

Carlton List Boss Hangs Up Boots

Now that Nick Austin has stepped down, who should Carlton get to be their new list boss? What names do you think Graham Wright has on his short list of potential candidates?

Rumour GFC 2026 Player Trading, Drafting FA, Rumours and Wish lists Pt 1

I would rather Butters re-sign with Port for 2 years and we get him in 2028 without having to give up any draft capital. We're going to need picks this year to take to the draft and continue refreshing the list, as it'll be the last uncompromised draft before Tasmania entry concessions. It's...

Rumour GFC 2026 Player Trading, Drafting FA, Rumours and Wish lists Pt 1

I'm happy for the club to keep our powder dry for Harley Reid (OOC 2028) and Aaron Cadman (OOC 2030) while Marshall is a hard pass for me. Keep getting games into Edwards and I still have faith in Conway making it at AFL level, he has all the attributes just needs to get his body right.

    North finals aspirations

I was shocked to see North drew a bigger crowd than Richmond, and I agree North drawing a crowd of 28,000 to their game was a pretty good effort considering North haven't played finals for 10 years.

Prediction West Coast return to finals

When do you think West Coast will return to finals? Having not played finals since 2020, what chance do you think they have of playing finals again by 2030?

Rumour GFC 2026 Player Trading, Drafting FA, Rumours and Wish lists Pt 1

We'll remain a contender for as long as Chris Scott remains our coach, people to this day still underestimate how good he is and when he eventually departs, it'll leave a huge hole and likely see us dip down the ladder for a brief period of time. Still, he's only 50 so it's reasonable to...

Prediction What do you hope to get out of this season?

I'm quietly confident we can make top 4, as we've managed to do so in 15 of the last 19 seasons and we're a pretty good side again this year even if we're not the best at the moment. Tough draw I know but good sides win anywhere anytime. Like most people here I expect to get a flag out of this...

Michael Voss to step aside - AFL.com article

Voss looks as though he'll see out his contract despite knowing he won't be renewed beyond this season. Would he be the first coach since Danny Frawley to do this? Obviously not counting succession plans like Roos, Malthouse and Hinkley.

    Demons MCG games

Melbourne are the oldest professional football club out of any football code in the world, and the MCG has been their home ground since before Australia was a country. Should they be allowed to play 11 home games per year at the MCG? I don't see any reason why they shouldn't, especially given...

Opinion Geelong's era of dominance over

71% win rate since 2007 suggests the era never ended, despite pretty much everyone at the club from the boot studder to CEO changing over that time we've remained up the top end while teams around us have been on high rotation. Collingwood were up (2007-2013), down (2014-2017), up (2018-2025)...

Carlton need to rebuild their board

The issue at Carlton is the board and has been for decades, too many old school morons stuck in the 1980s who drink their own bathwater. Carlton won't be going anywhere for as long as the likes of Pratt and Mathieson continue to wield power and influence at the club. Forget thinking the likes...
