    Geelong, Sydney and Hawthorn consistency

These clubs operate better than most of their competitors, it's not a coincidence they contend for premierships more often than not despite people saying they are looked after by the AFL. Throw in Collingwood who are in the mix most years and you have the big 4 of the AFL era in my opinion.

How dangerous are Sydney now they've landed Curnow?

Sydney would be close to flag favourites with Gulden and Heeney fit. Curnow has given them a new dimension, but it won't be enough for them to go all the way. I'm sure mental scars from 2022/2024 are still lingering in the playing group, too.

Who will be better in 2026? Geelong or Gold Coast.

What if we get Zak Butters? Add him to a midfield consisting of Atkins, Bruhn, Holmes, Smith and Worpel and all of a sudden the midfield looks quite handy and capable of mixing it with the best.

Which club has the larger fanbase - Essendon or Carlton?

Carlton are probably bigger than Essendon these days, they have 20,000 more members. However, if you asked this question 25 years ago the answer would have been Essendon and quite easily.

Analysis The Rebuilds of West Coast and Richmond and their Future Prospects

Richmond are ahead of West Coast in the rebuild. It's hard to attract people to Perth given how remote it is, look no further than Longmuir being in his 7th season as coach.

Who will be better in 2026? Geelong or Gold Coast.

You're probably right about them finishing higher than us this year. However, I still expect us to contend for premierships in both the present and near future and if we get Zak Butters then look out.

The Last Time...you fully expected to beat Geelong

Opening Round 2026 if you're a Gold Coast supporter. The majority of people fully expected them to beat us.
