Analysis Hawthorn rebuild: are they tanking?

Nah. We're not Carlton. Like the poster above said, there's no pressure until next year at the earliest.

Coach Sam Mitchell's direction for the club and 2024 news

I posted a similar sentiment in another thread: Apologies for quoting myself! We were in a far worse spot, with much a much healthier injury list. I'd argue that there are definitely areas we need to address (1. Midfield 2. Midfield 3. Midfield), but it can turn around quickly (look at the...

    Preview Round 6, 2024: North v Hawks, 4pm 21st April, Marvel Stadium

Serong, Gunston and Morrison in. I like the ins. Serong to help free up Sicily, and Morrison in after a BOG performance in the twos.

    Preview Round 6, 2024: North v Hawks, 4pm 21st April, Marvel Stadium

I just had a look through our first 10 rounds last year. Hoo boy, there were some stinkers there. Some of the key (cosmetic) differences however, we played (and beat) North in round three, so we had a win on the board early, and we absolutely smashed the Eagles in round 10 by 100+ points...

Autopsy Round 5, 2024 - Suns destroy hopeless Hawks

Full Time Update: THE GOOD: Finn - Potentially another string to his bow? Three goals is a great return. Scrimshaw - Stood tall tonight. Weddle - Again showed some glimpses of what he's going to become. More please. impey - Was (too) harsh on him in the first half. Was strong all night...

Game Day Round 5, 2024: Suns v Hawks, 7:30pm, People First Stadium

The Gentlemen is very good. Same 'universe' as the Guy Ritchie movie, but different story. Fallout (on Prime Video) - Have only seen the first episode but very promising. Shogun on Disney+ - Excellent.

Game Day Round 5, 2024: Suns v Hawks, 7:30pm, People First Stadium

Yeah perhaps a bit harsh on Impey. I think I mark him a bit harsher than most as I think when he's on, he's fantastic.

Game Day Round 5, 2024: Suns v Hawks, 7:30pm, People First Stadium

The Good: Meek - Been tremendous covering the ground. Strong marking and a presence around the stoppages. D'Ambosio - I don't know what I love more, his hardness around the ball or his kicking Weddle - Gone for some good runs. More of that please. Frost - Again a rock in defence. Finn- Who...

Game Day Round 5, 2024: Suns v Hawks, 7:30pm, People First Stadium

A goal saving mark after spending all game eecuting lazer-like kicks. Is D'Ambrosio becoming my favourite player?
