Squiggle tips Saints at 51% chance -- What's your tip? -- Team line-ups »
We need a legit backup that can play at the level... and we need to add in draft.
Ideally we added a young gun that could play at the level raw but its unlikely ...
I'm in agreement over his place in the team going forward. That wasn't what drew the ire.Its sill conjecture. The chance to trade him was 2 or so years ago. Now he is here and will not be going anywhere unless a good offer comes from a Gold Coast etc. What should happen is he shouldn't be an auto selection. Youth make mistake as well but we need mistakes with a bigger contested body.
If we want to play a light player we may as well play Gardner. If he plays well great , if he doesn't .....
Why would he exactly? 2016 was the first season he's suffered a bad run with injuries. Not injury prone which is what you are insinuating. Not if he is spending most of the time on the injury list.
Darcy is a player that some really like , apparently has good "likes" from the mids at Falcons etc... but he does look a little underwhelming athletically. Id like to see his Combine results . Depends on when drafted I guess. English would really suit.. there are a few others that have some assetsSean Darcy? Named as emergency for under 18 all star game, which in theory, puts him as one of the top half dozen of ruck prospects in the draft, but only one of top 50ish prospects overall. Given where our picks start, might be achievable. And thankfully, he's built like a brick sh*thouse.
picks are over rated

Think we would benefit from some diversity in ruck stocks - smith mainly tap and can drift forward, Stanley is the athletic one, Blicavs endurance (if we call him a ruckman), missing big animal with presence.
Well he could be that type , especially if he changes shape when in system a bit. Not so much Animal though more a barrel chested type..
I think this year was always going to be a bit of a transition year with so many new players coming in and some of the greats of the club going out.I'm in agreement over his place in the team going forward. That wasn't what drew the ire.

I wonder what he will cost in term of trade.I heard we were into Stewart from GWS. Unsure how good that info was though.
Saw he's now seeking a trade to a Melbourne based club, surely we aren't that far away
Maybe a House, Stewart, Sexton type influx?I smell something cooking.

Totally agree. Waste of a reasonable player... he could at least do what Cowan has.
Not in my opinion. He's not even 3rd best at the Tigers. Maybe in the Top 10 at Richmond when fit.
Pretty sure they'd be thinking more like Motlop + 2017 2nd Rd > HartlettHow interested would we be in Hamish Hartlett?
As long as Port Agreed to pay some of his 600k per yr contract.
Motlop> Hartlett + 2017 2nd Rd
I say next years 2nd due to the fact we may need these picks for any future F/S whicg would be available to us
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!K-Rock reporting that Enright and Bartel are both expected to announce retirements, hope that's incorrect information.
