Highly doubt the banned bombers will receive any discounts sadly

Im assuming my target players have completed a full preseason. I'll be monitoring the other guys to see how they go during the preseason, where they are a combination of value for money and potential average pt improvement. There are a few other players that I feel are too expensive that I will be looking over the year (Danger/Merrett/Sloane/Kennedy).

Super excited for 2017 already!! :D

i'm pretty sure both Ryan Crowley and Ahmed Saad received discounts after their drug bans
based on that, i'm expecting the banned bombers to get discounts

To be honest both those players were fantasy irrelevant. I reckon the bombers players will be similar to season-ending injuries like heppell ~= Libba etc....

Seems Sydney have been grooming Heeney for a full time mid role. Absolutely killing it in the finals.

If he assumes the mid role again next year (and he retains fwd status) lock him in. Priced at 73.

Risky stuff. Although he has been smashing it in the finals.

We're probably gonna lose a lot of DPP fwds like Monty, Dusty, Hall, Zerrett, Barlow and Reiwoldt will be 34.

Heeney could fill a gap nicely if he keeps playing mid which I think he will.

Would need to see more than 2 games in the new mid role to see if this is going to be a perm change though. If he swings back into forward role next year your stuck with him.

I took a punt on Lonergan's new mid role this year and that was an utter fail. Live and learn, so pass for me on this one unless proven otherwise.

I don't think Lonergan and Heeney's situation is identical as it was mostly pre season hype really that he would play mid.

Heeney has shown us already what he can do and is a lot more talented. Breakout next year imminent.

From memory Heeny scored very well in a few of the final home and away matches as well. Will watch closely during NAB matches to see his role. Could be a break out year.

Under other circumstances I'd say good luck for next week Frozen but I can't now.

Looking at the age demographic of both of our sides there is no reason why both will not be there abouts for a few years yet.

When Tmitch becomes a Dawk then heeney rolls into the mids

As a fwd pick he's a lock

I only play AFL Fantasy these days but see there are plenty of quality posters here.

My more golden rules for next year which some have already suggested in here albeit different games will be:

- Pick durable premiums (This will be put to the test with guys like Fyfe, Beams, Rockliff, Ablett ect)
- Only pick guys who have at least played one nab cup game (if no games played then i will overlook)
- Watch out for those Degoey, Lonergan, S.Gray types who are playing onball in NAB cup but doesnt eventuate into the real season once guys like Pendlebury, T.Boak, Ablett, Prestia are back in the team

- Im also going to base a few picks based on "Easy starts" to the season. Ie: Sydney, Dogs, North and West Coast had good early runs with plenty of home games ect. Guys like Waite, Kennedy went bang early wouldve been a nice leg up.

I also think next year will be a bit different we will lack as many rookies with the bombers. There wont be the M.Brown, Hartley, Dea, Tippa, Parish, Langford picks there next year.

Also there doesnt seem to be as many delistings of BEST 22 players for up and coming players to come in for.

Daniel Merrett (A key defender wouldnt be an option anyway)
M.Jamison (See above/not best 22 end of year)
A.Walker
