Heard from a very good source the Dandenong are in even more trouble than last year.

1 - Majority of a group who call themselves the 'thirds' which is about 15 players - many of whom played reserves and some seniors to fill 2 sides are on their way to Lyndale so they can all play together
2 - The SFNL are administering the club due no treasurer and are in big debt to the league and council
3 - 3 out of their top 5 senior b and f are on their way out after the senior coach (Clarke and Jose to Doveton and Van Mourik to Rowville)
4 - They have been given special permission not to have new SFNL logo jumpers due to no money
5 - Have had no more than 8 on any night to training and all bar the senior captain (Hall) are reserve standard players
6 - The league are concerned and looking at the prospect they cannot field 2 teams and are look to hold a crisis meeting with the possibility of only fielding a one side in the Thirds competition a-la Cerebus for a season
7 - Council are looking to make life tough so they can kick them off their ground and use the ground and facilities for soccer expansion

Can anyone at the club confirm or deny this???

Reggie would get a game at most clubs in this division. Not the most naturally talented footballer, but you'd have to go a long way to find a bloke who is as competitive, and gives everything he has, every minute of the game.

Pretty rich coming from 2 clubs that he was employed at, including a Senior role at Lyndale. RockliffisGod and Tiggies 1990 time to ease the squeeze on the Rowedog.

I think it's justified.
When I was still at Dandenong, we appointed him as our 2's coach, only for him to turn around and resign 3 days later.

Yeah we hired him and it was the biggest mistake we could of ever made.

From what I've seen and heard this year, some clubs are still looking for a quick flag. They seem to overlook coaches who are good people motivators, who have players who just need some development time and are looking for a three year building plan opportunity. Unless a club has a spare 200K and can just ignore oblivion, its the only solution to getting a club back on track. Problem is some of these committees think they are the bees knees and have no mid to long term planning or the skill to keep the coach and the players that can deliver that kind of plan. A club will pretty much never gain experience if you cannot keep current personnel together. Players just move on because they get sick of hearing the coach has quit and things will change at next pre-season. I sometimes wonder if it's the coach who has already done his financial research and sums and is dumbing down the interview to get out of jail?:(

Anyone lost any players over the break?
Still hearing plenty of word about doveton losing a bunch of blokes

You have good mail m8 it's a possibility as there is 5 roughly retired and a few not happy with a few things that have been done behind closed doors as well at the club lately and some decision they have made unfortunately

My predictions for the 2017 Season.

Ladder
1. Ashwood -Best team outside of Mount last season, will go one better.
2. Hallam - Will go close, but don't have enough A-graders to win it. Reserves making the GF last season shows some depth.
3. Lyndale - Big improvers.
4. Black Rock - Surely can't step down a division without having a crack. Have already had a few players from higher leagues come in, too.
5. Doveton - Too much noise about players leaving for it not to be true. Russell Robertson and Read will win them enough games to make finals, however.
----------------------
6. Endeavour Hills - Coach quit last week and will need to improve their list if they are to play finals.
7. South Yarra - Cellini got them to finals in 2015, and without him their talls won't see enough of if against the better teams.
8. Lyndhurst - Great start to their Club, but don't have the depth of quality to play finals. Watch this space in 2018-19.
9. Morrabbin - Williams is a star, and will kick bags against even the good teams. Needs a lot of help, but I doubt it will come.
10. CPL - Best of the worst, will be similar quality to 2015.
11. Sandown - Losing D'Atri is a kick in the guts to the Club, hopefully they can leverage their facilities to get some youth in and show signs of improvement.
12. Dandenong - Just yuck. If 9396 is right, if they field a team they will not win a game. Hopefully they fight it out and rebuild and get some player retention going.

Premier: Ashwood - Were the 2nd best team in the 2015 finals by a Street, and Rossbourough will continue the improvement and the personnel to get them all the way.

Ru: Hallam - Have finally arrived. Their midfield is elite, although shallow, and if they can stop relying on Thomas and Neve to kick bags they will get to the big dance. Won't get past McGuinness and Co in the GF, however. Marriott to take the pressure off Perresso.

Most improved: Lyndale - If they can keep their 2016 list together and combine them with these new recruits from Doveton Doves, they will be a legitimate contender. Getting Matt Stewart on the park regularly and in form will be key.

Slider: South Yarra - Their best player, Cellini, has already gone and if they lose any more mids they will drop right off. Their tall forward line will win them games, but not enough to play finals.

Surprise Packet: Lyndhurst. Everyone knows how good they are going to be in years to come, so who's to say that some talented players won't try to jump on the wagon early? If it happens, they will play finals.

League B&F: Tough to call. Wilkin is gone. Wilson is the obvious one, but will they win enough games, or will Robertson play enough games; probably not. Peresso polled well last season, but isn't getting any younger. McGuinness is a backman, so history says he is no chance. Peresso or Mitchy Saunders for mine.

Cheers

I'm hearing allot of unhappy people who are all close mates so might all go at once even if in different directions
