Bumping so I don't see Wells' thread as the last commented. Also a belated thanks to Spud and a random toast to his flexibility during his career. I recall he played midfield initially then as a back who could defend most types of forwards in his prime. Hopefully more current players can excel in multiple roles as the team needs like Spud did.

Still arguably the equal best performed of 'that' quartet in 2016 yet the only one who immediately said "all good, thanks for the memories" when he got the tap on the shoulder.
-Spud (is was playing to a better standard than JMac/Luke are today)
-Boomer (was becoming more of a defensive liability each year)
Little daylight
- Dal (we got killed on the spread if he wasn’t winning it)
Massive daylight
-Drew (had no leap, no separation, could only contribute in a strong team)

Wasn’t he meant to be back at the club as a development coach before Covid hit.
Is that idea gone permanently

Yep, he was a victim of the Covid cuts unfortunately. Rapt to see him achieve his long sought after flag anyway.
