Just listened to Richard Feidler's interview with Mark Colvin. Colvin's father was actually a British spy who worked for MI6 in the 1950s and 60s. As a result Colvin was shunted around in his childhood and he lived in Austria, London and Kuala Lumpur as a child. While his father was British his mother was Australian. A sad loss.

Started reading his book this week. Much detail about what he'd discovered (in later years) about his dad's amazing life interspersed through his own upbringing and journalistic career.
