As someone who is Catholic (non-practicing), all religion is just bullshit. So many of the world problems are caused by make believe books, people and ideologies. Just to 'believe' in something.
It's not going to vanish though. If religion didn't exist, it would be something else. It's more that human nature is messed up and people find a way to exert control.
