I'm ever the optimist and figure this is good news. His management surely know we wouldn't so it unless he comitts so hopefully just a stepping stone to that.

Which makes me wonder if this is a good thing- surely they know we aren't doing this unless he re-signs, and if we had a couple hundred thousand to spare we could essentially prepay some of the next contract
