I've still got a dickhead mate who who loves Brad Hardie and he's asking me "but Hardie must have got his intel from someone."

In a sensible universe, people like Fanta pants and Crumpet face would be held accountable and fired. But this s**t creates conflict and ratings and thus they've done a 'good job' in the eyes of their employer.

It's sickening really. #journalism...

This y have been mentioned in an earlier post. Alleged on 6PR that Lyon thru a third party had made a subtle enquiry about taking over from Buckley.
Lyon denied he had been approached by Colon Wood but no-one had asked him if his manager had made the approach?

Is he really the right person to take us forward?

I'm amazed people continue to believe anything these idiots spruik.
Prove themselves weekly to be uninformed, amoral, lying deviates.
Frequently with deliberately destabilising agendas ..."The Jockocracy" someone described them as recently.

By releasing this statement the club clearly understands the market better than I.

6PR and Hardie can get bagged as much as you like but where there is smoke there is fire. Why would lyon want to jump ship given he still has 3 yrs on a $1M+ contract? Because he's a finisher coach not a development coach. Colon wood are ripe for a coach like lyon. Besides he may wish to get back home to Melb sooner rather than later due to family reasons

If theres no fire theres no smoke. It was pure bullshit, Hardie is an expert at it.

Just heard that audio on the West's website. Mr Credibility, Belvidere of Belmont calls in and says his sources say Ross Lyon approached Gary Pert about the Collingwood coacing role. Hardie was quick to say that he already had that information out there.

Makes sense that you'd approach the person who is about to resign as Collingwood CEO.

You're not doing your credibility any favours by referring to them as "colon wood"

It's a load of unsubstantiated dross and Lyon/Rosich have rightly called out Hardie for the bullshit merchant he is. Where there's smoke there's fire? Please.

Lyon describes himself as a 'career AFL coach'.
He's a scholar of the game. Not only will he see a rebuild as a challenge and an appropriate test of his skill set and knowledge but he will certainly not want to be pigeon holed as a coach who 'can only' do this that or the next thing.
I think he'll do a good job of it and at the very least we'll end up with a competitive and well balanced list for where the game's headed.

A better way to describe 6pr is throw enough mud at the wall some of it will stick. In this case it didn't stick.

Playing Devil's Advocate for a second here.

The club has come out and refuted this as the biggest load of crap however why would Brad Hardie say something like this?

Maybe he's been passed incorrect information? If so, where did his information come from? Why would information of this nature be passed to him?

Something doesn't quite add up unless people here are suggesting that Brad Hardie wakes up in the morning and decides that he wants to make something up about the Fremantle Football Club but even then, this is a big leap.

If he was truly into development then he would be selecting youngsters who need games into them instead he keeps going back to spuds like D.Pearce & Suban and average plyers like Sutcliffe and Sheridan. Don't be surprised if Johnno is carrying injury that another spud in ibbo is selected.

Caaaaaaaarlton, Lions and even Hawks are going past us in the development race.
