Is yet to re-sign at North and there are rumours of homesickness. Originally a WA small town boy.

Strengths are he has excellent pace, consistent high tackler, hard worker, listens to the coaches well, decent kick, can roost it from 50+ metres, consistently named in second's bests, has poise and can be very evasive in the contest.

Weaknesses include not being able to elevate his disposal numbers beyond the 15-20 mark, hasn't had a great deal of midfield exposure, slightly undersized at 181cm and his most natural position is still debatable, although midfield is the strongest candidate.

Originally taken at 60 in the draft. Could be involved in a player swap or an early third.

Hope he stays is rated very highly from within. As stated solid tackle numbers and averages ( rounded up) 5 disposals a quarter from around 77% game time.
His numbers are solid for a kid with 12 games. Would not entertain a swap for a third rounder, would hope it would involve a player somehow.
Fwiw North want to keep him and as of a few weeks ago there was nothing to suggest he was on his way out. Things do change of course.

Finishing 2nd in a senior VFL side's BnF as an 18 year old and then playing 12 AFL games and cementing himself in our 22 is pretty impressive from a young bloke, would be well ahead of average development and still has a lot of upside. He's a very complete prospect, with his only real weakness being his ability to accumulate the footy. Another strength is that he's very versatile, having played as both an inside and outside mid as well as in defence at AFL level, and showing an ability to kick goals from 50m. Expect us to be asking for a pick in the mid-late 30s if he does request a trade, however all the guys with inside info @ North seem convinced he's staying.

Very exciting prospect. Not many 2nd year mids can slot into the backline to do a role and perform well. Different role for him and needed to because injury. That versatility is what coaches love. Can't teach the confidence he has to take the game on. Will be going nowhere. Only sticking point is 2 or 3 years.

Congrats - although still not sure why you only offered him 1 year. Where did you hear the 2 WA clubs offered 2 years? No-one seems to know about it here in Perth (at least not at the Freo end).
