Didn't we already delist 3 players in Steven Morris, Todd Elton and Taylor Hunt?
Plus 2 retirements.
Less 2 rookie upgrades.

When do we know if anyone bids on Naish? Is it at the time of the draft or earlier?

Also had Maric retire and Yarran come off the list. Then Castagna and Soldo got upgraded to senior list, so tbh not sure or exactly how many spots we have but if it is just 3 for example we can only enter the draft with 17, 20 and 25. Sure we have more spots though

Are you guys surprised you didn't pick up Schache for one of your picks? Thought he'd be an ideal in to develop behind JRoo or give JRoo the 2nd defender if he really showed something in preseason.

We don't bother with 2nd tall forwards mate, two talls makes it easier for the oppo to run the ball out, smalls scaring the s**t out of oppo backs is the way to go.

Not sure why so many are melting in here, what we have done is extremely clever and outsmarted the bullflogs in regards to Naish. We just come off a grand final winning season and completely change the structures of AFL footy, plus give ourselves 3 x top 25 picks to add to our list. Club has never been in such a strong position both on and off the field!!! Just take a look at #lolnorf if you are worried about our choices.

Pick 16 is worth 1067 points. Factor in the 20% discount for F/S or Academy picks we need to come up with 854 points.

Pick 17 is worth 1025. This is a difference of 171 points. If we match a bid at 16, the outcome would be

Out: 17
In: Naish, Pick 58.
I really don't understand how this would be the case (though being the AFL maybe its not meant to make sense)
If we had a 171 point shortfall after matching with our next pick, then those points would make our next selection slide down the order
So why wouldn't extra points in hand get added to our next pick to bring it up the order?
Giving us a pick worth the 171 points we have in credit would be pretty much worthless to us

Have to agree, why would we get an extra pick that we dont have a list spot for, instead of upgrading our next pick by 171 points?

I'm surprised no one has posted that Chris Pelchin was asked about Tom Lynch this morning on SEN and said three clubs are in the running to sign him next year, Collingwood, Richmond and Hawthorn and if he does go it will be one of those three that get him. Given he will be leaving for success, not money, and he has good mates Prestia and Caddy here, puts us in an excellent position if we can back up this years good form.

The expert campaigners in the media are at it again. Bit of click bait.. check out who this moron thinks won the trade week? Surprise.. the teams that signed the most dudes. I tell you who the losers are? The ones that didn't do anything. What a pathetic charade the last two weeks have been.

As is with nearly all football journos and the AFL in general... instant thought this.. vomit this opinion there. ******* hell it is tiresome. The list managers commenting on 'the bigger picture' after they were getting shot down were the only insightful comments made over the period . Something that certainly resonates in regards to our trajectory. If there is *in noone to draft or pick up.. what the * are you supposed to do? Trade for the bloke because his height weight and drafted field position are something we need? Is it not obvious there are a ******* huge range of other factors? 'Seems weird we didnt go after this guy?' .. Does it? Sure we would love some depth all over the field but a flag isn't won in a single year. And our teams development isn't dependent on whether we draft some speculative pea heart or party boy. We have put structures in place that were around at last years draft and free agency periods and they are clearly approaching this current one not in isolation. Thank god.

Look back at the opportunities that presented themselves last year. Look at what was on offer this year. * all, and we let it sail through to the keeper. Thankfully the club has made hugely positive in roads over the last 12 months and we actually have some fellas in the 2s that have some real organic growth in them -that will only flourish under the culture we have been beginning to establish. We also have some guys that have played ONE SEASON with the playing group. And they did pretty ******* well in that first season. We also have three picks in the first 25. Seems like clubs aren't greatly valuing this draft with the way they are throwing picks away for blokes that have HUGE question marks over their heads, but it still gives us our best opportunity to bring some young quality fellas into the family. Next year? Who knows what comes our way but we have given ourselves every possibility of going from strength to strength.

Yes we are still potentially ****ed if our best players go down, but since the expansion, no clubs have insane depth. You have to do the best with what you have got. Nail draft picks and bring in quality players when there is potential to do so. This season has shown that across the field and behind the scenes we are very aware of our strengths and weaknesses. I don't want to rest on our laurels and to be honest I certainly don't think that we are. Up the ******* Tigs.
