I’d prefer if he didn’t
Very considerate of you not to post a pic with Dusty in it. I know that is a sore spot for many North supporters. I will also go ahead and like your post.Nuff said...we'll just enjoy reality.

Not much faith in him mate?
Who are his assistants next year, any new faces?
I don’t agree with the extension, he had next year on contract we should have seen how he went
Makes sense seeing he's had 8 years.
GC reportedly were making overtures to him. North perhaps showed some desperation to extend his contract. Not sure of the point in that if he was still contracted for 2018. Unless they thought he'd walk out. Not sure how binding coaches contracts are these days, I'd suggest GC would have had to pay some compensation if that did happen.
Moot point now.
Any changes with assistant coaches for 2018?
They will deflect to 'how the **** did dimma win'.
You are being cruel trying to get them to accept reality.
Let then stew in their own filth. It will hold them in good stead.
Amusing that you put Collingwood ahead of Essendon.I would say of the 10 Vic clubs, in terms of overall size, security, stability, and future prospects, they fall into the following brackets (in order):
Top bracket:
Richmond - Reigning premiers, and have been an off-field powerhouse since about 2012 now. this years premiership will see them overtake Collingwood and Hawthorn in memberships next year you would think, and they already have those two covered in most other areas.
Collingwood - Powerhouse off-field still, on-field they are middling but have potential. the only club that can outdraw Richmond.
Hawthorn - The 3-peat has them set for at least another 5-7 years, and they are traditionally the most successful club since the 60's on-field.
Middle:
Essendon - Despite the drugs saga, they have got a good list, and have survived the financial strain because of their loyal and large supporter base.
Carlton - Should rightfully be in the top bracket, but the members have jumped off in recent years, and they have been underperforming for far too long. all it would take is a couple of years as a contender though, and they'd probably jump back up.
Geelong - Could argue they belong in the top bracket, but they still only have about 45k members, and it wouldn't take much for them to be under pressure again. on field they are strong though.
Melbourne - Have finally come good off-field since Stynes did his thing, and on-field looking good now too. never going to be a top bracket team, but could become a top team of this middle bracket.
Bottom:
Western Bulldogs - Could make a case for them having moved up a bracket, but I think they would need to capitalize on memberships and financial gain and be a long term finals contender for 5-10 years before it happens permanently.
St. Kilda - Have a middling team on-field, and despite claims of a large and dormant supporter base, we've never seen evidence of that in memberships, crowd figures, or anything like that, despite them having a run of 10+ years as a consistent finalist not too long ago. also historically unsuccessful.
North Melbourne - Of all the Vic clubs, the Kangaroos are in the most danger of a potential relocation, with poor finances and now a poor on-field list and sub-par facilities. North has survived because of its' "shinboner spirit" and stayed competitive, but each year they fall further and further behind what's required at the elite level.
Lachie Hansen @ 4 and Gavin Urquhart @ 21 is pretty much exactly that mateyPut a hat on said monkey, with the words "The List Manager" emblazoned across it, and morons line up for miles to quote it.
PMSL. Brilliant. My new sig.
If our reality is so grim, how come you guys need to resort to making s**t up?
Also, if you had the ability to think a little (clearly a stretch for the majority who have posted in this thread), you'd probably realise that the way the last two premierships have been won gives everyone hope. We go into next season with better cumulative 3-4 year form than either of the last two premiers.
Richmond have been our bitches for over 30 of the past 35 years. Good job this year, but it doesn't change the football landscape anywhere near as much as you're making out. It's quite telling that you're all still so scared of North that you wish for our demise.
By the way, until three months ago, Scott outperformed Dimma on every objective football measure (as a coach, at least). And no doubt some of you were part of the loud chorus calling for Dimma's head a year ago.
Enjoy your flag, guys, it's a great achievement. Just don't get too far ahead of yourselves.

Ahhhh, that's one in the top 20, and Hansen was a solid player.
It wont be the next few years. It will be in 5-15. You'll have to be patient. Its inevitable at some point.Yeah, you keep wishing that. Remember to cry as we rub your face in it over the next few years.
Cameron Joyce is out of his depth it seems. Now north legend Scott Thompson has come out in the media and said he feared for his spot on the list.
Is that any way to treat your players? I’d have thought a club should keep the communication lines open to prevent that
You're right, he should have just got out on the piss, got fat and be lazy and unprofessional to ensure no question of staying on the list. Now north legend Scott Thompson has come out in the media and said he feared for his spot on the list.
